Douglas G. Mann, MD, FACS

Dr. Douglas Mann is Board certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery. A  graduate of Yale University School of Medicine, he also did his Ear, Nose and Throat training at Yale. He has been in practice for over thirty years, and has extensive experience in all aspects of the specialty. He has particular interest in disorders of the nose and sinuses, having had nasal surgery himself when he was a medical student. He has a great interest in music, and sings in a local men’s acapella group, “Notescape.”

His interest in music has naturally led him to be interested in disorders of the ear and hearing, so closely aligned with the ability to appreciate music Dr. Mann is committed to doing all he can to preserve and restore hearing in children and adults

As a singer, he enjoys treating those who sing, and all those who may have difficulty with their voice.

The inventor of the Tonsil Fire Extinguisher, a device designed to help patients with severe sore throat, Dr Mann is committed to finding novel ways of improving the practice of medicine with innovative and affordable therapies.

Dr Mann is past president of the Falmouth Hospital Medical Staff, a former member of the Board of Trustees at Cape Cod Healthcare, and a current member of the board of the Cape Healthcare Insurance Company. He is committed to the support and improvement of the health care system here on Cape Cod.

Dr. Mann enjoys teaching, and has lectured to hundreds of other physicians, allied health professionals, and the general public in numerous lectures on various subjects throughout his career. He has published several papers in the field, and contributed to textbooks. He considers individual patient education the greatest thing he can do for his patients (besides getting well, that is).

Dr. Mann moved to Falmouth in 2004 with his wife, Jane Schweitzer, MD, who practices Ophthalmology here in Falmouth as well. He is the proud father of Emily, Benjamin, and Maxwell, all of whom are making their way in the world, and would be the subject of more web pages than we can count. He loves living here in Falmouth, where he also enjoys singing, golf, running and biking.

Jennifer Czarniak, PA-C

Ms. Czarniak has been with our practice for over 1 year and has come to be a valued member of our staff as her experience and abilities in treating disorders of Ear Nose and Throat have developed to a level of expertise over this time. She came to us with extensive experience from the Plastic Surgery Department of Boston Medical Center.

David W. Gager, MS, CCC-A

Dave brings over 20 years of Audiology experience to Upper Cape ENT.

Dave received his MS in Audiology from the University of Vermont in 1986. He served for 15 years as the educational Audiologist for SW Vermont Supervisory Union in Bennington, VT, where he was responsible for the hearing conservation and hearing management program for preschool through high school students.

He moved to Brookings, Oregon in 2001, working for Pacific Coast Hearing Center, providing comprehensive audiologic services including hearing aid fittings for children through adults. While there, he helped implement a hearing conservation program for the surrounding county school districts.

Dave has expanded our line of service to cover hearing testing for children as well as adults, and has been providing hearing aid fittings here as well.  He has an innovative and unique program to “test-drive” for those with hearing problems to allow them to experience hearing aid use in their own homes and jobs, and thus make more educated decisions.. His commitment to helping people understand today's technology is his paramount concern, and shows in the high degree of satisfaction that his patients have with the aids he prescribes

Dave enjoys gardening and golf. We are very happy to have him as a member of our family.
