Snoring is a sign or partial airway obstruction during nighttime breathing. The site of this obstruction may be anywhere in the upper air passage, including the nose. The noise usually comes from the back of the throat.

Sometimes the condition progresses to the point of complete obstruction . In this case, the bed partner may notice periods during which there is no sound at all, followed by a gasping for breath or a choking sound. Individuals affected by this condition are frequently tired during the day, and may commonly develop hypertension. We will diagnose the problem, and determine where the obstruction is and determine the best course of therapy for you.
